Discover Northrop Grumman : Electronic Systems : Profiles

Jiwanjot
Systems Engineer

What college/university did you attend? What was your major and when did you graduate?
I attended the University of Maryland, College Park for both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. I majored in Electrical Engineering for both, and graduated in December, 2002.

Why did you accept the position at Northrop Grumman?
Northrop Grumman has a rotational program through which new graduates can explore working in different fields, groups and different parts of the company. It’s a very good way to explore one’s interests as well as understand what the company does.

What does Northrop Grumman offer that competitors don’t?
Other than a great rotational program, there are opportunities in all areas of engineering and business. There’s the opportunity to take a concept from design, through implementation and manufacturing, to flight test, all in one location.

Tell us a little about what you do (i.e. what projects you work on, etc.).
I currently work on the TES program as a Systems Engineer. I work to understand the system and the data it produces then facilitate changes to parts of it.
