CVN 21 is the next generation of aircraft carrier. This advanced platform will boast an array of innovative features designed to serve the Navy with distinction for years to come.
The new powerplant will provide increased electrical power, while requiring fewer operators. A redesigned flight deck with an advanced aircraft recovery system (AARS), will reduce crew workload, thereby enhancing safety and reducing the costs of operation. Smart sensors will reduce watch -standing requirements and help automate damage control functions such as fire detection and flooding situations.
When the 21st century Navy takes the CVN 21 to sea, they'll be on board a carrier designed with their safety and success first and foremost.
