Stephanie
Subcontracts Administrator

What college/university did you attend? What was your major and when did you graduate?
I graduated in March 2003 from UCLA with a B.S. in Astrophysics.

Why did you accept the position at Northrop Grumman?
I began my career at Northrop Grumman as an intern while I was still in school. I enjoyed the dynamics of the company as well as the incredible leadership and didn’t want to leave!

What does Northrop Grumman offer that competitors don't?
Northrop Grumman offers a feeling of family. Everybody here is committed to working as a team. The managers are incredible mentors to the new hires and extremely eager to support and train us. There is also great potential for movement within the company. If tomorrow I woke up feeling like I wanted to pursue engineering, I could do so without having to attend another orientation at another company!

Did you participate in an internship, mentoring program or new hire orientation? If so, what was the experience like for you?
I was an intern during my final year of college. The experience was amazing, which is why I didn’t want to leave!

Tell us a little about what you do (i.e. what projects you work on, etc.).
Although my degree is highly technical, I decided to change paths and try out a career in business. So far it has been the right choice for me. Working in Subcontracts gives me the opportunity to utilize my technical skills without spending all day taking data in a laboratory. I am currently working on the Upper Stage Engine Technology Program as well as the Hel Block 0 Program.
