Internships : Electronic Systems Internships

Electronic Systems Internship Opportunities
Electronic Systems locations screen and match candidates for co-ops and internships on a site-by-site basis, depending on availability. In general, intern candidates must:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree (or higher) university program
  • Have completed at least their sophomore year in college
  • Have at least a 3.2/4.0 overall GPA
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • In most cases, major in one of the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Have at least one class in real-time embedded systems for the majority of our software and computer science positions

Experience in radar, sensors and digital signal processing gained through other intern experiences or classroom research projects is helpful. A current U.S. Government security clearance is helpful, but not necessary.

Resumes are accepted from the day after Labor Day to January 31st for internship consideration for the following summer. Resumes may be e-mailed to: ElectronicSystems.Interns@ngc.com.

Internships are a key strategy in our college-recruiting program. The purpose of the Northrop Grumman Summer Intern Program is to identify and hire students for summer and part-time jobs early in their academic careers, with the potential of receiving full-time offers during their final year of school.
