Description:
In this level 4 Software Engineer / Systems Engineer position you would develop EO/IR and SAR capabilities for the Command and Control (C2) /data processing portion of a complex Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) System. You would participate in full life cycle development and integration activities for a UAV Common Ground Segment (CGS). Specifically you will develop requirements, oversee implementation, integrate and test the Sensor Operator C2 system which will be used for simultaneous control of multiple UAVs and sensor payloads. Primary responsibilities will include the development of Use Cases, Software Requirements, and Test Plans and Procedures; the coordination of detailed design, code and test activities and top-level system and operational integration and testing. Other responsibilities will include hosting CGS User and Customer meetings and Peer Reviews and the planning, management and integration of SW suppliers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Computer Science, Signal Processing, Electrical Engineering or related technical field is required. Nine years of imaging payload data product processing expertise is required (7 years with MS, or 4 years with PhD is equivalent and preferred). Aerospace Systems Engineering experience using Architectural, Use Case and Requirements database tools required. Experience with Object-Oriented software design and development methods and tools (e.g., Rhapsody, Rose, and Unified Modeling Language) required. Current Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to be accessed to Special Access Programs required. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Expertise with Imagery Mosaics, Imagery Dissemination, Geolocation, and Unmanned Air Vehicle Ground Control processes are all highly desired. A background including JAVA, C++ and real-time software development is a plus. Familiarity with a variety of software development and SW test tools is desired. Algorithm design and analysis, numerical methods, digital logic and discrete methods knowledge is also desirable. Security Clearance Required.
