Description:
Provides engineering support to the sustainment, restoration, and modernization (S/R&M) program for Keesler AFB Hospital. Performs planning, programing, design and construction management work for substantial multi-phase new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities and utility systems, utilizing professional engineering knowlgedge. Serves as engineering consultant on all design and construction aspects of assigned projects. Coordinates the preparation of and reviews A&E and construction statements of work (SOW). Coordinates projects with other engineers or with architects. Serves as field engineering consultant on location.
BS degree + 10 yrs experience. Facility / Utility engineering experience in design, construction, operations, or maintenance. Project management experience. Detailed knowledge and experience of 1 or more phases of the facilities infrastructure (engineering/architecture). Strong interpersonal skills supportive of a customer service-oriented environment. Exeprience in all MS office products. PE/RA/PG preferred. Experience in cost estimating for facility / utility construction and for AE services. Experience with DoD or Government construction. Previous experience working in a DoD Civil Engineering organization is a plus. Project Management experience. Healthcare Facilitiy experience with knowledge of UFC 4-510-01 , NFPA 101 and NFPA 99.
