Where Technology and Teamwork come together... Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking an Engineer, Network 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Vicksburg, MS and Portland OR. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Army Corps of Engineers Information Technology (ACE-IT) program, a five year program, now in the first year of transformation to the Army's vision of technology leadership. Roles and Responsibilities: * Designs and plans IP telephony communications systems for the Army Corps of Engineers Information Technology (ACE-IT) program. * Works under the supervision of senior program managers at the Central Processing Center (CPC), Vicksburg and the Western Processing Center, Portland to maintain and enhance the ACE-IT Enterprise Network. * Provides specifications and detailed schematics for voice architecture. Supervises the work of mid-level and junior engineers * Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. * Maintains and configures voice communications, hardware and software for day to day operations including the support of soft phones, desk phones and unified communication services. May include after hours and emergency operations support Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: * B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering * Nine years experience maintaining and operating unified communications in a DoD or data center environment * Experience analyzing and mitigating DoD information assurance checklists for network attached devices and computers * Experience hardening network devices using DoD IA checklists * Five years experience designing, configuring, monitoring, and managing unified communications and TCP/IP networks .At minimum, all applicants must have or be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start on this program. Upon starting work, the selected applicant must be willing to go through the process and meet the requirements to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: * CISCO CERTIFIED NETWORK ASSOCIATE (CCNA) or CCNP * COMPTIA NETWORK * COMPTIA SECURITY * Experience in operating and configuring Cisco 7900 series phones, softphones, multiple versions of CCM & Unity. 3700 series, 2800 series, 2900 series, 1700 series, 4900 series, 3550 series, 7200 series, 7600 series & 6500 series routers and switches. Experience with PBX and other voice technologies encouraged Security Clearance Required.
