Description:
With the first payload on orbit and others scheduled to launch over the next two years, Northrop Grumman in Azusa, CA needs qualified engineers. The SBIRS Program has need for an experienced engineer to lead the Signal Processing Assembly (SPA) team. We are accepting applicants at multiple band levels. This is a multi-functional position with diverse development opportunities. The successful applicant will be responsible for technical management of a subcontract of the on board signal processing assembly hardware including ensuring that the product meets its performance requirements, and that the subcontractor meets their cost & schedule commitments. This individual is responsible for overseeing the design update activities (including appropriate design reviews), fabrication, test, data reviews and shipment. Upon receipt of hardware in Azusa, this individual will be responsible for supporting the Payload system integration & test activities. Experience with digital hardware design and producibility of space-borne electronic digital processor hardware required. This position requires strong leadership & organizational skills and the ability to effectively present status to the SBIRS customer & to internal executive management. Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering or science discipline. Band M2 - 5 years relevant experience with space based on board signal processing hardware. Band M3 - 7 years relevant experience with space based on board signal processing hardware. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Previous leadership/IPT experience working with a multi-disciplined team. Preferred Qualifications: Secret Clearance or higher, Master's degree, knowledge of Earned Value Management System techniques. Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. An active DoD. Relocation Assistance Available.
