Transforming the future of technology… The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Team supporting the Army Signal Activity - Southern Command's (SOUTHCOM's) mission, which is to plan, engineer, install, operate, maintain, and protect all information technology and information management (IT/IM) systems to enable operations for the USSOUTHCOM HQ and its joint, interagency combined, and tenant elements in Miami, Florida, and selected continental United States sites with a staff of approximately 3,000 (4000 by the year 2011). Northrop Grumman will provide engineers, technicians, software developers, and specialists on-site and on-call to administer ASA-SOUTHCOM's IT/IM systems and networks and to provide support, such as user services, installation and upgrade services, information assurance, logistics and supply support, hardware and software support, help desk services, video teleconferencing (VTC) support, conference room support, tech control facility support, and training support. Northrop Grumman is assembling a team contingent upon winning the ASA SOUTHCOM procurement, but apply today, preferred positions will be filled quickly. Roles and Responsibilities: * Sets up and maintains equipment for audio and video conferencing and teleconferencing meeting needs. Troubleshoots equipment and network configurations. * The candidate will administer, maintain, configure, and service Video Teleconferencing, briefing and conference room systems installed in support of SOUTHCOM. The services in support of SOUTHCOM are as follows: * Maintain an established program of services to support effectively all SOUTHCOM VTC, briefing and display systems, and conference room operations requirements. * Provide ongoing maintenance support for VTC-capable conference rooms during normal duty days as well as support on weekends and after duty hours when needed. The candidate will provide ongoing maintenance for VTC equipment, to include a T-1 circuit to the DISA Digital Video Systems Global (DVSG) network as well as a 16-port secure and unclassified dial-up hub with secure IP connectivity. The candidate will provide VTC hub support from 0600 until 1800 on normal duty days as well as support on weekends and after duty hours as required. Conference room and VTC support includes maintaining the reservation schedule, coordinating with distant-end participants, and providing engineering and specifications of new systems and equipment for all audiovisual and VTC lifecycle replacement or when a new technology becomes available to keep the command functioning as effectively as possible while remaining compliant with existing DoD networks. * Provide public address system support for all USSOUTHCOM HQ functions and ceremonies as required. * Maintain the existing cable TV distribution network. The SOUTHCOM HQs is pre-wired for certain offices to receive TV signal. The demarcation point for the cable company is outside the HQs. The candidate is required to troubleshoot any problems with the TV signal inside the HQs. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: * High School * 4 years of additional education and/or experience * The candidate will obtain certification compliance IAW DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program and meet the minimum requirements within six months of the task order award. * Position requires a current TS/SCI (SI/TK) Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: * High School and 4 years of additional education and/or Audio Visual experience This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and/or customer approval.
