As a senior member of the technical staff you will be expected to formulate theoretically sound, yet simple probabilistic solutions to complex problems. This requires applying theory and real-life experience to issues that arise throughout the program life-cycle for diverse systems and products ranging from satellites to maintainable ground-based systems. For most tasks you will be self-directed and supervised with the only feedback being the customers' acceptance of your work. You will work a variety of programs in various roles - ranging from auditor to trouble-shooter to individual performer. As such you will be expected to manage your time to meet deadlines on a variety of programs. In order to perform the expected tasks you should have extensive hands-on experience in all facets of the reliability discipline as well as experience in both functional leadership and project management roles. Key technical qualifications include the following: 1) Profound grasp of probability theory, stochastic processes, statistics; 2) Highly developed skills in applied reliability methods such as RBDA, PRA, FTA, LCCA, DOE, Simulation Analysis, special modeling, Life Test Analysis, trades studies, optimization, etc., 3) Sufficiently experienced in the use of at least one of the advanced tools and languages such as Matlab, Mathematica, C++, VB, C-Sharp, etc. to develop analytical models as required by the task; 4) Familiarity and understanding of complex aerospace systems, Systems Engineering process and Safety & Mission Assurance principals. The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications: 1) Very strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task; 2) Product and result driven; 3) Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; 4) Strong managerial skills; 5) Ability to mentor and lead others; 6) Customer and bottom-line focus; 7) Attention to quality. Basic Qualifications: MS or PhD in a technical field (Mathematics and/or Engineering) with at least 15 years of industry experience. Candidate must be a US Citizen. Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret/SSBI Clearances. Some travel will be required to support design reviews and customer meetings.
