Posting ID:  TS/092121 Description: The Systems Administrator 2 will be responsible for supporting hardware and software needs of a Department of Defense program. This is a technical position that involves both operational (day-to-day support) and project implementations of systems. The best candidate has strong experience with Microsoft O/S, scripting, networking, wireless, encryption, systems installation; is able to understand how his/her role supports the broader program objectives; is an independent self-starter who can successfully multi-task across projects and effectively organize under tight deadlines, as well as work well in a team environment; actively engages in design, testing, implementation and utilization of disaster recovery; monitors network and system performance; has complete understanding of IT principles, concepts, techniques and problem solving; has experience investigating, resolving and explaining system issues to both technical and non-technical resources; demonstrates flexibility in working extended hours to meet deadlines and being on-call to provide support for urgent incidents; develops briefing materials and technical documentation; supports junior team members by example, demonstrating excellence in all capabilities. Work to be performed primarily in Virginia and travel may be required to other sites. Candidates must be US Citizen and eligible for a Security Clearance. Must have skills/experience: - Minimum of 3 years experience - Bachelor's technical degree in engineering or computer science - Experience working in a System of Systems environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team oriented, multi-tasking personality Additional skills: - Experience working with the DoD and US Army - Experience with the DoD Information Systems security requirements - Experience with project team leadership and systems engineering process life cycle - User-facing technical support background - Hands-on DBA experience MULTIPLE POSITIONS.
