Job Description This position requires complete technical understanding and expertise in a wide range of software development using various languages including C++, C, and Assembler. Applications range from user interface creation to device driver development for communications and networked systems. Qualifications include an in-depth understanding of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems, detailed knowledge of various network protocols, multi-threaded applications, algorithm development, and graphical user interfaces. Candidate will provide imaginative and practical technical solutions and guide the successful completion of all phases of software development projects from proposal to delivery. Candidates should posses a BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience or 3 years of experience with a Masters degree. This position requires the ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. The ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance is required. Position location - Baltimore, MD. Basic Qualifications: BS Computer Science or Computer Engineering, minimum 5 years experience with above essential skills and a Top Secret Security Clearance at a minimum. Preferred Qualifications: MS Computer Science or Computer Engineering, minimum 3 years experience and a Top Secret Security Clearance Work Location: Xetron Facility - Baltimore, MD. --- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. Relocation Assistance Available.
