Description:
The individual will be responsible for the following material management activities: material proposal support, supplier identification & solicitation, program planning, procurement lead-times, Shop Order execution, procurement coordination and monitoring, managing material costs and delivery schedules, creating material visibility, maintaining program material metrics, and clearing material at program closeout. The applicant must be team oriented with good interpersonal skills capable of interfacing with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Program Office. Candidates must be computer literate with working knowledge of SAP & MRP systems. Candidate can be hired as band 2 or 3. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS, at least 3 years of Materials Management / Operations experience. Secret Clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: TS/SCI clearance preferred. COMMON JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth. Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns. Monitors key performance indicators, analyzes cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters Security Clearance Required.
