Within the Air Force Civil Engineer (A7C) Asset Management and Operations Division Housing Branch (A7CAH), serves as Program Manager and Action Officer for Air Force housing policy and operations of government-owned, leased, and privatized family housing, unaccompanied housing, general officer quarters, and government-provided furnishings. Researches, interprets, writes and recommends revisions to AF Instructions, policy memorandums and other policy documents. Drafts and prepares responses for the Air Force Civil Engineer to congressional inquiries and Secretary of the Air Force (SAF), Chief of Staff of the Air Force (CSAF) and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) taskers. Prepares statistical reports and cost databases for special interest items, such as General Officer Quarters (GOQs), Family Housing and Unacompanied Housing inventory and occupancy. Coordinates with other A7C divisions, other SAF or AF directorates, Major Commands (MAJCOMs), other Services and the Department of Defense (DoD) on policy issues and higher level taskings.
Requires Bachelor degree and 10 years experience, verbal and written communication skills, a working knowledge of Air Force housing policy and procedures and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in Air Force civil engineering or housing at MAJCOM or Air Staff is desired. Security Clearance Required.
