The Candidate will develop and deliver a new operator training program:
Key deliverables include syllabus material, detailed lesson plans, training aids, documentation, lecture presentations, training manuals, review questions, electronically distributed courseware, written classroom and simulation training. Subject matter includes systems and subsystems descriptions, mission planning, normal and irregular operating procedures, crew resource management, and employment doctrine.
Duties include working with courseware developers, multi-media developers and other SMEs referring to technical manuals, engineering data and regulatory guidance to:
Determine course content and student learning objectives using the ISD process
Prepare course syllabi, lesson plans, evaluation methods and criteria and student manuals.
Evaluate training materials and procedures and makes or recommends revisions to keep courses abreast of software and equipment design
Provide direction and guidance to students and evaluates and documents student performance.
Job Qualifications:
The successful candidate must:
Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Regularly contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Instructional System Development process
Have experience with mission planning tools and military pilot experience
Hold an FAA Multi-Engine Fixed-Wing Commercial Instrument rating (Multi-Engine Instructor preferred) and current Class II Medical
Possess working knowledge of computer hardware, databases, learning management systems, Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office products
Possess a current DoD security clearance
Education and Experience
Prefer a candidate with ten years experience with Bachelor's degree. This position requires the candidate to have a minimum of 5 years total experience in the Training/Educational or Instructional Environment developing, presenting and evaluating training and assessing student progress, with experience in flight operations. Military Instructor experience is a plus and experience designing computer aided instruction or e-learning is strongly desired.
Applicants selected will be subject to a FAA airman records check and government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
In addition, the qualified candidate will need to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
