POSITION: Database Analyst
DUTIES:
Under general supervision performs complex tasks where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. Analyzes database requirements of the user department, applications programming and operations. Develops database applications in a client/server environment.
SKILLS:
Using various database modeling tools, develops and interprets database model diagrams to implement sound business logic.
Utilizing a wide variety of software tools, designs and codes application software using Object Oriented Methodology and principles.
Must have Database Modeling
Must have demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Possesses coding proficiency using:
.Net
SQL-Must have demonstrated experience coding TSQL in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
Visual C++
HTML
JScript
VBScript
SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:
Windows Server 2003
Microsoft Developer Studio
Microsoft Internet Information Server
Microsoft Professional Office Suite
Microsoft SQL Server
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems with 2-4 years demonstrated work experience (or equivalent combination of training and professional work experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.)
SECURITY CLEARANCES:
Must have the ability to obtain a USPS Clearance.
Security Clearance Required.
