Description:
The occupant of this position is required to plan and implement Quality Assurance actions for assigned Cable suppliers that require compliance to Military and Space specifications. Will be assigned the Lead for the Cable Commodity in SMA. Will be required to perform complete inspection on cables and cable assemblies to determine if drawing / specification requirements are met. Determine the cause of defects or malfunctions.
This position is posted as a dual salary band 03/04. The candidate's skills and qualifications will determine the appropriate salary band.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a technical arena and 5-7 years experience in Military industry is required. Candidate must have experience initiating Corrective Action Plans and working with suppliers and manufacturing personnel to identify root cause. Candidate must also have experience in ISO 9001. Experience with Microsoft Office programs is required. Ability to work with minimum supervision and present a professional company image to both internal and external customers is essential. Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
A Masters Degree is preferred. Training in Six Sigma, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5M), IPC J-STD-001 and NDT methods highly desirable. Relocation Assistance Available. Security Clearance Required.
