Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama.
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence aiding the Missile Defense Agency in their quest to protect our nation. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's support to the MDA's Test Directorate as a technical expert in EO/IR systems in support of Ballistic Missile Defense Systems flight tests.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Interface with Airborne Sensors contractor to ascertain technical performance issues.
* Perform independent Test & Evaluation mission data analysis upon direction from MDA in the event of rapid reaction tasking.
* Provide programmatic assistance including briefing preparation, conference presentations and written documentation of findings.
* Research and assist with developing of T&E milestone objectives and execution plans, and provide technical evaluation assistance during flight testing of the sensor packages.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Senior engineer with a MS or higher-level degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics or Physics).
* 9 years experience with a Bachelors in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics or Physics) or 7 years with a Masters or 4 years with a PhD.
* Minimum of 8 years of airborne sensors systems engineering experience.
* Position requires a current Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Knowledge of EO/IR sensor systems installed on airborne platforms for data collection.
* Knowledge of BMDS Flight Testing.
