Join us on the edge… The Cutting Edge! The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Invoice and Financial Management Services program supporting the FAA in managing their complex telecommunications infrastructure's costs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Position is a junior system administrator supporting a senior systems administrator with the responsibilities to keep a complex system of 15+ servers in two sites with multiple connections between sites and to the internet up and running efficiently at high availability.
* Redesign and reengineer systems elements as security and computational requirements evolve.
* Identify system performance issues, diagnose failures and effect rapid repair/reconfiguration to maintain system availability.
* Maintain system documentation, specifically the annual update to the security plan following the NIST 800-53 standard.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Bachelors in Information Technology/ Computer Science
* Recent college graduate
* Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation
* Exposure to MS-Window Server OS administration
* Exposure to TCP/IP network administration
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Exposure to network security concepts and appliances
* Exposure to Linux Server OS administration
