Scientific Data Analyst
As a Scientific Data Analyst at Northrop Grumman your expertise will be used to provide data management and statistical analysis for our customers. Our Data Analysts are intricately involved in survey development, methodological design, sample selection, data management, processing and analysis and technical assistance of these complex statistical surveys. In this position our Scientific Data Analysts often work hand in hand with our customer to use statistical and data management software to clean files, generate probability samples and conduct descriptive analysis.
The most successful Scientific Data Analysts are detail oriented, critical thinkers that are able to manage large amounts of data effectively. They work well as part of a team and are able to provide training to others as needed. In addition to looking for someone with data management expertise we also look for those individual that are continuously looking for ways to improve processes to help us become even more efficient in the service we provide to our customers.

Typical qualifications that may be necessary to secure employment as a Scientific Data Analyst include:
- BS/BA degree or relevant experience
- Strong data management skills

Experience with SAS, SPSS, and/or Excel

Experience managing and analyzing large datasets

Knowledge of survey sampling and randomization

Knowledge of population-based surveys and statistics

Ability to travel internationally
