Software Development Analyst

As a Software Development Analyst at Northrop Grumman you will be part of a team that focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for Federal, State and Local government customers. We rely on our Software Development Analysts’ expertise to focus on new full life cycle software development and maintenance for multi-tier service-oriented architecture systems. Our Analysts help us to enhance and maintain our current systems while also having the opportunity to design, develop and document new applications and sub-systems.

The most successful Software Development Analysts are detail oriented and thorough. They are able to perform requirements analysis, design, coding, unit integration and testing. We look for independent thinkers that are proactive in nature and think of innovative new approaches and make recommendations on our systems to enable us to better serve our customers and increase the quality of the products we produce. We look for technical expertise as well as interpersonal savvy as our Software Development Analysts are often called upon to interact with various other team members including participating in technical peer reviews to enhance collaboration and learning.

Typical qualifications that may be necessary to secure employment as a Software Development Analyst include:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math, or technical science (e.g. Engineering) or related experience
• Knowledge of relational database concepts
• Required skills in one or more of the following: Web services, and Oracle database technologies. SQL, Java, PL/SQL, XSLT, DHTML, XML, GML, JavaScript, Oracle Forms 10i, Oracle 10g Object-Relation DBMS
• Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated skills in solving problems and responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction
