Systems Administrator
As a System Administrator at Northrop Grumman you will be part of a highly successful Technical Team using the most modern hardware and software to support our customers. Our System Administrators provide expertise installing and maintaining software, monitoring our systems for anomalies, resolving any system software problems and ensuring we are adhering to all service level agreements (SLAs).
The most successful System Administrators demonstrate a blend of technical skills and responsibility to be able to manage large complex systems. They act as subject matter experts to help proactively manage and support our customer’s systems. We look not only for technical expertise but also interpersonal savvy our System Administrators are often called upon to interact with other team members both technical and non-technical to provide expertise and guidance.

Typical qualifications that may be necessary to secure employment as a Systems Administrator include:
- Bachelor’s degree or additional years of specialized experience in lieu of degree
- Experience providing support to various High End HP Servers

Experience in Time Sharing Option (TSO)

Experience using z/OS version 1.9 or higher

Experience using System Modification Program Extended

Experience ordering and maintaining mainframe software

Experience in solving mainframe system software problems
